Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has received an invitation from Harvard University, a prestigious educational institution in the United States. The invitation requests the Chief Minister to participate in an online discussion during the month of April. This has been confirmed by JD(U) Rajya Sabha MP and National Executive President Sanjay Jha.
The JD(U) MP said that the discussion at Harvard University will focus on Bihar’s development and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s vision for the state. Sanjay Jha said that the primary topics of the discussion will be Bihar’s development roadmap for the next decade and the Chief Minister’s forward-looking vision.
During the session, the Chief Minister is expected to share insights on how Bihar transformed from being a struggling state to one of the fastest-developing regions in the country. Key areas such as infrastructure, governance, and economic development will be highlighted. Sanjay Jha described this invitation as a matter of pride for the entire state of Bihar.
The Chief Minister’s Secretariat has also confirmed the invitation. A press release issued in this regard stated that Nitish Kumar has been invited to address the Indian student community at Harvard Kennedy School.
Bihar’s Vision for the Next Decade
The invitation has been extended by the Harvard Kennedy School Law and Policy Student Group and the Indian Student Community, particularly students from Bihar. The online discussion will centre on the theme, ‘Bihar’s Vision for the Next Decade – Educated, Prosperous, and Capable’.
The invitation letter highlights that under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, Bihar has emerged as a hub of growth and development. Significant improvements in governance, economic development, education, and infrastructure have transformed the state’s image. This remarkable transformation makes Bihar an important case study for policymakers and global scholars.
The letter further expresses eagerness to understand the Chief Minister’s vision and guidance on the roadmap for Bihar’s progress over the next ten years. The discussion will provide students, faculty, and researchers with an opportunity to explore Bihar’s development model, challenges, and future aspirations.
The Chief Minister has been requested to allocate time in April for the online discussion and to share his insights. This engagement is seen as a significant opportunity to showcase Bihar’s achievements and ambitions on a global platform.
