Patna: Sanjeev Mukhiya, the alleged mastermind behind the NEET paper leak case, remains at large. In response, the Home Department of the Bihar Government has announced a reward for his capture. A sum of ₹3 lakh has been offered for information leading to his arrest.
The Home Department issued a formal letter on Thursday, declaring rewards not only for Mukhiya but also for three other accused individuals. The department stated that the reward money will be given to any police officer who apprehends him or any member of the public who provides credible information aiding his arrest.
Individuals with Rewards on Their Arrest
Sanjeev Kumar Singh, alias Sanjeev Mukhiya or Lutan Mukhiya, a resident of Shahpur Balwa, Town Nausa, Nalanda district, is accused of leaking examination papers in multiple cases. Along with the NEET paper leak, he is also infamous for his involvement in the constable recruitment exam paper leak. Four cases are registered against him, and a reward of ₹3 lakh has been set for his capture.
Shubham Kumar, a resident of Beechbazaar, Sukh Sarai, Nalanda district, has two cases registered against him. He has been evading arrest in connection with a question paper leak, and a reward of ₹1 lakh has been announced for information on his whereabouts.
Rajkishore Kumar, a resident of Bakhtari, Karpi, Arwal district, also has two cases against him. A reward of ₹1 lakh has been declared for his arrest.
Sanjeev Mukhiya’s Connection to Paper Leaks
Sanjeev Mukhiya, hailing from Nalanda, is the prime suspect in several high-profile examination paper leaks, including the constable recruitment exam (held on 1st October 2023), the teacher recruitment exam (15th March 2024 in Bihar), and the NEET-UG exam (5th May 2024 across India). Investigations into all three cases have revealed his involvement.
Where is Sanjeev Mukhiya Hiding?
The question arises that where is Sanjeev Mukhiya hiding. He was searched in Bihar as well as other states but he could not be traced. Not only this, he was searched even in Nepal. He was earlier arrested in Uttarakhand in 2016 but was released due to lack of evidence. His current whereabouts remain unknown.
